Terms of Service for Roamer

Effective Date: October 21, 2026

The Short Version

1. The Basics

Roamer is run by Velocity Studios, LLC ("we" or "us"). By using Roamer, on our website or in our apps, you agree to these Terms. We're based in Washington state, and Washington law applies to these Terms.

You must be 18 or older to use Roamer.

2. What Roamer Does

Roamer shows Rivian and EV owners information about their vehicles. Roamer works with Rivian vehicles but is not affiliated with Rivian Automotive, Inc. To get your data, Roamer uses Rivian systems that aren't officially open to outside apps, and Rivian can change them at any time. So:

3. Your Account

You're responsible for keeping your Roamer account secure. When you link your Rivian account, we keep only an encrypted key from Rivian, never your password. For your security, that key expires about every 6 months. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

4. Social Features

5. Roamer Plus

6. AI Assistants

With Roamer Plus, you can connect an AI assistant, like Claude or ChatGPT, to read your Roamer data. Our Privacy Policy explains what it can read and how to turn it off.

7. Referrals

Share Roamer Plus with other Rivian owners and you both save.

8. Rules

Don't:

We can and will close accounts that break these Terms.

9. Limits on Our Responsibility

IMPORTANT: As far as the law allows:

10. You Protect Us (Indemnification)

If someone makes a claim against us because you broke these Terms, the law, or someone's rights, or because of something you posted or shared, you agree to defend us and pay the resulting damages and costs.

11. Ownership

Our content is protected by copyright. Rivian is a trademark of Rivian Automotive, Inc. What you add to Roamer stays yours, but you let us use it to run Roamer.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make a big change, we'll tell you before it takes effect and post the new version here. If you keep using Roamer after that, you accept the new Terms. Changes don't apply to disputes that started before the change.

13. Settling Disputes

Talk to us first: Before either of us starts a case, we'll describe the problem to the other by email and try to solve it within 60 days.

Arbitration, not court: If we can't solve it, any dispute about Roamer or these Terms will be settled by binding arbitration. A neutral arbitrator decides instead of a judge or jury, and we both give up the right to a jury trial. JAMS, a private arbitration service, will run it under its consumer rules, by video or in the county where you live. We'll pay JAMS's fees beyond your filing fee. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section.

Small claims: Either of us can take a case to small claims court instead.

No class actions: We each bring claims only for ourselves, not as part of a class or group, in court or in arbitration. If this rule can't be enforced for a claim, that claim goes to court, not to class arbitration. If many similar cases are filed at once, JAMS's mass arbitration procedures apply.

Opting out: You can opt out of arbitration by emailing support@rivianroamer.com within 30 days after you first agree to these Terms. If you agreed to an earlier version of these Terms, you can opt out until November 20, 2026.

14. Other Legal Terms

If one part doesn't hold up: If a court or arbitrator won't enforce part of these Terms, the rest still applies.

The whole agreement: These Terms are the complete agreement between you and us about Roamer.

No waiver: If we don't enforce a rule right away, we can still enforce it later.

If Roamer is sold: We can transfer these Terms to the new owner.

No personal liability: No member, manager, employee, or affiliate of Velocity Studios, LLC is personally responsible for anything arising from these Terms or your use of Roamer. Any claim must be made against Velocity Studios, LLC only.
